Solar panel installers for homes and businesses across North Wales, from Deeside and Wrexham to Denbigh, Conwy, Gwynedd and Anglesey. MARA Electrical have installed 21MWp+ of solar PV, including the Snowdonia National Park Authority headquarters, a 250kWp in-roof array in Denbigh and industrial rooftops across the region.

MARA Electrical are MCS certified, NICEIC approved solar panel installers based at Queensferry on Deeside, covering the whole of North Wales. A well-sited roof in North Wales typically generates around 900 to 1,000kWh per year for every kWp installed, so a 4kWp home system produces roughly 3,600 to 4,000kWh a year. We survey, design, install and certify the system ourselves, handle the SP Energy Networks notification, and issue the MCS certificate you need for Smart Export Guarantee payments.
Public sector, industrial and residential solar from Eryri to the Dee estuary. Every project below was designed, installed and certified by our own team.

Most installers in North Wales are either a two-van domestic outfit or a national sales operation. We are a Deeside electrical contractor that has been installing solar since 2010, at every scale.
A few things are specific to this part of the country. We cover them at survey so the quote is right first time.

Most homes are installed in one to two days. Commercial roofs are programmed around your operation.

Yes. Solar PV generates from daylight, not heat, and a south-facing roof in North Wales typically yields around 900 to 1,000kWh per kWp a year, close to the UK average. A 4kWp system producing 3,600 to 4,000kWh a year offsets a large share of a typical household's electricity. Rain actually keeps panels clean. The real variables are orientation, pitch and shading, which we measure at survey rather than estimate.
Most home systems we install cost between £4,500 and £10,000 at 0% VAT: roughly £4,500 to £5,500 for 3kW, £6,500 to £7,250 for 4kW, £7,250 to £9,000 for 5kW and £9,000 to £10,000 for 6kW. Adding a battery starts from around £3,000 for 5kWh. Prices were checked in November 2026. You get a fixed written quote after survey, with a generation and payback projection for your roof.
Usually not for a home. Roof-mounted solar is permitted development in Wales provided the panels do not project more than 200mm from the roof and the property is not listed. Conservation areas and Eryri (Snowdonia) National Park have extra conditions, and commercial arrays above the permitted thresholds need an application. We confirm this before you commit.
SP Energy Networks is the distribution network operator for all of North Wales. Systems up to 3.68kW per phase are notified after installation under G98; anything larger needs a G99 application before work starts, which can take several weeks, longer on constrained rural circuits. We submit the paperwork and program the installation around the response.
Yes. We have installed rooftop PV on industrial units, a glass manufacturing plant, a national park headquarters, a 250kWp in-roof array and multi-site retail estates. Commercial systems are quoted with a half-hourly consumption model so the array is sized to what you actually use on site, and we handle the G99 application and any export limitation SP Energy Networks requires.
A no-obligation survey, a generation estimate and a fixed written quote from MCS certified, NICEIC approved installers based in Deeside. Homes, farms, schools and industrial roofs across all six counties.
