MARA Electrical are the solar panel installers based in Flintshire: our office and vans are at Expressway Business Park in Queensferry, ten minutes from Mold, Buckley, Flint and Connah's Quay. MCS certified, NICEIC approved since 2010, and the team behind the PV facade in Deeside and the 21×22kW EV hub at Iceland Foods on Deeside Industrial Park.

MARA Electrical install solar panels, battery storage and solar-linked EV chargers across Flintshire from our base in Queensferry, Deeside. Because we are local, a survey in Mold, Buckley, Hawarden or Holywell is usually booked within days, and if anything needs looking at in year five we are a short drive away rather than a call centre. Systems are MCS certified for Smart Export Guarantee payments and installed by our own NICEIC approved electricians.
We live and work here. These are Flintshire projects, not stock photos.

Plenty of installers will drive to Flintshire for the sale. We are the ones who are still here afterwards.
Flintshire sits on the Dee estuary with a mix of coastal, valley and upland housing. These are the points our surveyors cover before you get a price.

Because we are local, the gap between survey and installation is usually short.
All of Flintshire is within half an hour of our Queensferry base.
Usually within a few working days, because our office is in Queensferry. Mold, Buckley, Hawarden, Flint and Connah's Quay are all within 15 minutes of us. The survey takes about an hour and you receive a fixed written quote with a generation estimate afterwards.
Most home systems we install cost between £4,500 and £10,000 at 0% VAT, depending on size: roughly £4,500 to £5,500 for 3kW, £6,500 to £7,250 for 4kW, £7,250 to £9,000 for 5kW and £9,000 to £10,000 for 6kW. A battery from around £3,000 for 5kWh. Prices checked November 2026. Commercial roofs are quoted after a survey and a look at your half-hourly consumption.
Slate is fine; we use roof hooks and flashing kits designed for it, or an in-roof system if the roof is being replaced. A north-facing roof alone is rarely worth it, but east-west splits across two roof faces usually are, and often match a household's morning and evening usage better than south alone. We model it at survey.
Yes. We have delivered the 21-bay EV charging installation at Iceland Foods and a £120,000 electrical package at DorSuite on the park. Industrial rooftop solar is quoted with a half-hourly consumption model, a structural check of the roof and a G99 application to SP Energy Networks.
Yes, and we size the inverter and consumer unit so that a retrofit is a short job rather than a rebuild. Many Flintshire customers add a battery a year or two after the panels, once they have seen their export figures.
