OZEV approved EV charger installers covering the whole of North Wales from our base at Queensferry, Deeside. From a 7kW home charger in Llandudno to the 21 × 22kW workplace hub at Iceland Foods and a 60-bay, 1MVA charging hub, the electrical infrastructure is designed and installed by our own NICEIC approved electricians.

MARA Electrical install electric vehicle chargers for homes, workplaces, car parks and fleets across all six North Wales counties. We are OZEV approved, which is required for government chargepoint grants, and NICEIC approved, which means the supply, earthing, protection and certification are handled by qualified electricians. Every installation goes through SP Energy Networks, the DNO for North Wales, and we submit the notification or application for you.
Workplace hubs, fleet depots and the electrical supplies behind them.

A charger is only as good as the supply behind it. Most problems we are called to fix were caused by installers who did the charger and ignored the electrics.
The charger is the easy part. These are the things that decide the price and the timescale, and we check them at survey.

Home installations are usually done in half a day. Workplace and fleet projects are programmed around your site.

Only an OZEV approved installer can claim the government EV chargepoint grants for you, which currently cover renters, flat owners, landlords and workplaces. MARA Electrical are OZEV approved and NICEIC approved, so the grant and the electrical certificate come from the same installation.
A standard 7kW smart charger installation, where the consumer unit is sound and the cable run is straightforward, is quoted as a fixed price after survey. Long cable runs, a consumer unit upgrade or earthing work add to it and are shown separately. We do not quote a headline price that grows on the day.
The Workplace Charging Scheme currently contributes towards the purchase and installation of chargers for businesses, charities and public sector organisations, and the EV infrastructure grant for staff and fleets helps with the cabling and supply work behind them. Eligibility and amounts change, so we confirm them at quote and submit the claim for you.
SP Energy Networks covers all of North Wales. A home charger is notified under G98 after installation. Multiple chargers, 22kW units or a new supply need a G99 application before work starts, which we submit and track.
Yes. DC rapid charging needs a three-phase supply with real headroom, often a new connection from SP Energy Networks. We design and build the supply, switchroom and distribution as we did for the Novuna 60-bay hub, then install and commission the chargers.
