Questions About Our Electrical & Solar Services

Are you NICEIC approved electricians?

Yes. MARA Electrical has been NICEIC approved since 2010. We are also MCS certified for solar PV and battery storage, an OZEV approved EV charger installer, and members of RECC, ECA and SafeContractor.

Which areas do you cover?

We are based at Expressway Business Park in Queensferry, Deeside, and cover Chester, Flintshire, Wrexham, Ellesmere Port and North Wales. Commercial and solar projects take us across the UK.

Do you install solar panels and battery storage for homes?

Yes. We design and install MCS certified solar PV for homes across Deeside, Chester and North Wales, with battery storage from Tesla Powerwall, SolaX, Solis and SolarEdge. See our solar panel installation page for more.

Can I get a grant for a home EV charger?

Possibly. The OZEV chargepoint grant is worth up to £500 per socket, but it is aimed at renters and flat owners, and owners of freehold houses with a driveway do not currently qualify. As an OZEV approved installer we check your eligibility and claim it for you. More on our home EV charger page.

Do you work on commercial and industrial sites?

Yes. Recent work includes 21 workplace charging bays for Iceland Foods on Deeside Industrial Park, the electrical fit-out for DorSuite’s new Deeside site and 2.2MWp of rooftop solar for NEXT.
