Circa 50kWp systems at approximately forty Aldi stores, ongoing since 2016 — our largest multi-site rollout by number of sites. Forty separate buildings, forty structural situations, forty grid connections, and one consistent standard across all of them.

Circa 50kWp systems at approximately forty Aldi stores, ongoing since 2016 — our largest multi-site rollout by number of sites. Forty separate buildings, forty structural situations, forty grid connections, and one consistent standard across all of them.
The largest rollout in our portfolio by site count — a programme that has run for the better part of a decade.
Aldi has expanded rapidly across the UK, and solar has been part of that expansion. Since 2016 we have installed circa 50kWp systems at approximately forty of its stores, working through Kingspan.
Individually, 50kWp is a modest commercial array. Collectively, forty of them represent around two megawatts of generation — comparable to our largest single-site installation, but spread across forty locations, forty roofs and forty separate network operator regions.
The challenge is entirely different from a single large array. Rather than one complex engineering problem, you have forty straightforward ones that must each be executed identically, efficiently and without a single store closing its doors.
A repeatable installation model applied consistently across approximately forty retail sites.
Photovoltaic systems of circa 50kWp installed across approximately forty Aldi store roofs.
A repeatable installation and commissioning process that keeps quality consistent and programme times predictable.
Each store separately surveyed, designed, notified and certified — standardisation never means skipping the site-specific work.
Every installation delivered above an open, trading store.

Around forty systems totalling approximately two megawatts of renewable generation across the store portfolio.
A proven, repeatable delivery process that scales cleanly as further stores are added to the programme.
Each array offsets refrigeration, lighting and ventilation load at its own store, cutting operating cost site by site.
MCS certification and electrical documentation delivered to the same standard at every one of approximately forty sites.
A forty-store programme is a genuine test of a contractor's systems: scheduling, materials, quality control and paperwork all have to work at volume without anything slipping through.
That discipline came from fifteen years as NICEIC approved electrical contractors, and it is the same discipline applied whether we are installing across forty Aldi stores or one commercial roof in Deeside, Chester or Wrexham.
Whatever your building type, we survey it, design for it and certify it. Talk to us about commercial solar panel installation, or browse the full solar portfolio.
