We have put solar on around 40 Aldi stores, 11 Sainsbury's, 10 Tesco and a 350kWp B&Q retail warehouse, all while the stores kept trading. If you look after one shop or a whole estate, we can survey, design and install to the same standard on every roof.

Retailers only hand out repeat rollouts to contractors who deliver the same result store after store. These are programmes we have been trusted with.
Fridges, freezers, lighting, tills and heating all run through trading hours, which is exactly when the panels generate. Most of what a store roof produces gets used on site, so it offsets electricity at the price you actually pay rather than being exported cheaply.

Forty stores means forty roofs, forty structural checks and forty grid connections. What makes a rollout work is doing each one the same way, so your estates team is not chasing different answers from different sites.
Your customers should not notice we are there. This is how a retail install runs.

~50 kWp ×62016–2020Retail sites often add commercial EV charging in the car park or battery storage to use more of what the roof makes. For other building types, see our main commercial solar installation page.
Most commercial systems we fit work out at £600 to £900 per kWp installed, and the price per kWp drops as the system gets bigger. A typical 50kWp supermarket roof, the size we fit on Aldi stores, would land roughly between £30,000 and £45,000. We give you a fixed figure after a free survey of the roof and your half-hourly electricity data.
No. Every retail job we have done was installed with the store trading, including the 350kWp array on B&Q at Cribbs Causeway. We plan access, deliveries and any electrical changeover around your trading hours, and most switchover work is done early or late so customers never notice.
Yes, that is most of our retail work. We have fitted around 40 Aldi stores, 11 Sainsbury's stores in one programme, 10 Tesco stores and 6 Lok'nStore sites. You get one survey method, one design standard, one point of contact and reporting store by store.
Usually, yes, but you will need the landlord's consent and the lease should say who owns the panels and what happens at the end of the term. We can provide the roof survey, structural information and drawings your landlord or their agent will ask for.
Yes. Each site is a separate connection, so each needs its own application to the local network operator under G98 or G99, depending on system size. We handle every application, the witness testing and the paperwork for each store.
Yes. We install commercial EV charging as well as solar, so we can plan both together and size the supply once. Our work includes a 21-bay workplace charging install for Iceland Foods at their Deeside head office.
Tell us how many stores you are looking at, where they are and whether you own or lease them. We will review the sites, arrange surveys and send a written proposal for each one covering system size, expected generation and payback.
