200kWp Solar PVDP World Port Logistics
200kWp of photovoltaics for DP World, delivered with Kingspan and FK Construction. Port logistics runs around the clock, and on-site generation offsets a meaningful slice of the daytime demand that keeps containers moving.

Powering the Movement of Freight
DP World operates container terminals and logistics facilities globally, moving freight continuously between ship, rail and road. The electrical demand of that operation — handling equipment, lighting, refrigerated units, controls and IT — runs day and night.
200kWp of rooftop solar does not power a container terminal. What it does is shave a consistent slice off daytime consumption, every day, for twenty-five years, with no ongoing fuel cost and no exposure to energy price volatility.
Working with Kingspan and FK Construction, we delivered the installation on a live logistics site where freight movements could not be interrupted for construction access.
Port Logistics Installation
200kWp delivered on an operational freight handling facility.
200kWp Array
Installation of 200kWp of photovoltaics integrated with the Kingspan roofing package.
Coastal Specification
Mounting and materials selected for a port environment with salt exposure and elevated wind loading.
Electrical Connection
DC and AC installation, protection and connection into the facility’s distribution, certified to BS 7671.
Live Site Delivery
Works sequenced around continuous freight handling and vehicle movements.
The DP World Installation

What DP World Got
200kWp Generating Daily
Consistent daytime generation offsetting handling equipment, lighting and refrigeration load.
Insulation From Price Rises
Every self-consumed unit is a unit not bought on a volatile commercial energy market.
Supporting Green Logistics
On-site renewables increasingly matter to freight customers auditing their own supply-chain emissions.
Specified for the Coast
Marine-grade specification so the array lasts its full design life in an exposed location.
Solar for Ports & Logistics
Ports and dockside logistics recur through our portfolio: 850kWp at ABP Southampton Port, 54kWp at Central Docks in Liverpool, and this DP World installation. Each brought the same combination of salt exposure, wind loading and an operation that cannot pause.
Closer to home, the Dee estuary, the Port of Mostyn and the Mersey docks put similar sites within easy reach of our Queensferry base. Coastal specification is not a niche for us — it is a substantial part of what we do.
Whatever your building type, we survey it, design for it and certify it. Talk to us about commercial solar panel installation, or browse the full solar portfolio.
